15.05.23

Prestige Underwriting is delighted to join BGL Insurance’s own brand motor panel with its non-standard motor proposition. As a leading MGA in non-standard and niche risks, Prestige Underwriting’s non-standard motor product will provide customers of BGL Insurance with a new, flexible solution for a diverse range of risk types including modified and high-performance vehicles, imported vehicles and cover options for poor driving history and motoring or criminal convictions.

Part of Markerstudy Group, BGL Insurance provides a range of motor and home insurance products through their own brands Budget Insurance, Dial Direct, Zenith, Geoffrey and Jaunt, all supported by state-of-the-art, market-leading digital platforms and award-winning contact centres.

The addition of Prestige Underwriting’s non-standard motor product will support BGL Insurance in accessing new customer segments, widening its quote footprint and ultimately the reach of this hugely successful Prestige Underwriting niche motor proposition.

Angela Wilson, Senior Broker Development Manager commented on the recent launch:

“I am delighted to establish and build on a relationship with BGL Insurance and to promote our non-standard motor proposition which is now live for their customers on their own brand platforms. Our Motor solution is unique in its design and risk appetite, and I am very pleased to offer BGL customers choice when it comes to cover requirements for high performance, modifications and customers with convictions. Through its own brand platforms, BGL Insurance has developed a Motor customer base of circa 2.2 million private car policyholders and with our new product, we are excited to support further growth in these niche areas. The launch of Prestige Underwriting onto the panel is testament to the collaboration and investment by both parties and we look forward to enjoying a long and mutually beneficial relationship."

Speaking of the new evolved non-standard proposition, Iain Belson, Associate Director for Insurer Engagement at BGL Insurance said: “We have worked in partnership with Prestige for some years on our home product, and I’m thrilled that we are now able to extend that into the motor market. Being able to offer customers choice and competitive pricing is important to BGL Insurance and introducing this new scheme will help us do this, in particular helping us to reach new segments of the market. There has been great collaboration from both teams to get us to this point and I look forward to how we further develop this in the future.”
