Fellowship accolade for Carl McComb
Prestige Underwriting’s Pricing and Actuarial Director, Carl McComb, has been awarded a Fellowship of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries.
Fellowship is the highest level of qualification attainable with the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA) and members who achieve Fellowship are highly sought after as experts in their chosen field.
Carl was delighted to pick up his accolade in person at the new Qualifiers Ceremony which was held in Royal Festival Hall in London on Wednesday 3rd May, celebrating the Fellowship achievements of all the new qualifiers. Hosted by Matt Saker, President of the IFoA, it was the first ceremony to be held in person since pre-pandemic.
Carl completed his formal exams in 2021 and was awarded Fellowship upon completion of PPD/CPD requirements at the start of 2023.
Carl joined the Pricing Team as a Household Pricing Analyst in June 2016 and has successfully secured three promotions during this short time – from being made Household Pricing Manager in July 2019, Head of Pricing in August 2020 and most recently in January 2023 to Pricing and Actuarial Director. During this time, Carl’s commitment to CPD was evident as he continued to dedicate time to study and eventually achieving the highest accolade in his Fellowship.
